Hobert W. Darnell, 77, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 31, 2013.

Born May 2, 1936, to the late John and Mittie Darnell, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

His sisters, Lucille Whitaker, Lorene Clubb, Lena Wakefield ; brothers, Bob Darnell and Howard Darnell, preceded him in death.

At his request, Mr. Darnell was cremated and private memorial services will be held at a later date.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
