Obituaries

Helen T. Dunn, 71, of Cumming, died Nov.  2, 2017.

Born September 2, 1946 in Dawson County to the late Huston and Pauline Trammell, she lived most of her life in Forsyth County. Helen was formerly employed by the Hoover Group and continued to work as a caregiver. An expert seamstress, she also enjoyed crafts and one of her passions was bargain hunting. 

She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Her sisters, Imogene Ridings, Teresa Ryan; and a brother Buck Trammell, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Jimmy Martin of Cumming, Patty Martin of Dawsonville, Stacey Luebke of Cumming, Charles and Beth Martin of Cumming; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Susie Smith of Dahlonega, Paulette and Gary Bennett of Ball Ground, Katherine Holt of Jasper, Janice Burns of Jasper; brothers, Thomas Trammell of Ball Ground, Tim Trammell of Atlanta; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Trammell and Rev. William Blackwell officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Nov. 4 at the funeral home.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
