Hazel Ann Burt, 80, of Sautee, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009.

Mrs. Burt was born Dec. 12, 1928 in White County to the late Walter and Evelyn Davis.

Her daughter, Janet Burt; sisters, Mildred Bassett and Doris Taylor; nephew, Michael Gann; and stepson, Carlton Burt, preceded her in death.

She was a bookkeeper and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Burt of Demorest; stepdaughters, Judy Jones and Joyce Elliott, both of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bob Gann of Cleveland; three nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew; two great-great-nephews; three step-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyal Thornton officiating.

Interment followed in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland was in charge of the arrangements.
