Harry M. Brown, 74, of Dahlonega, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.

  

Mr. Brown was a native of Pickens County who had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 10 years. He was a former resident of Gainesville.

  

He was employed at AT&T for a number of years and also operated a used car lot in Gainesville for several years. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

  

He was the son of the late John William Brown and Faye Westmoreland Brown and was also preceded in death by a son, John M. Brown; sisters, Lucy Simonds and Ada House; brother, Willie Brown.

  

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Moore of Dahlonega; sons, Steve Brown of Martin, Jason Brown of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Sam Gilleland of Dahlonega; stepson and daughter-in-law, Sammy and April Moore of Dahlonega; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Frank LeBaron of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Camden Moore, Addison-Iva Moore, Kelton and Kenna LeBaron; sisters, Bonnie Turk of Gainesville, Evelyn Martin of Gainesville, Patricia Rail of Gainesville, Elaine Barnes of Gainesville; sister-in-law, Sylvia Brown of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. at the Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County with Revs. Sammy Moore and Rodney Pilcher officiating.

  

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
