Harry J. Martin, 66, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, died April 30, 2010.

He was a member of Hightower Baptist Church and was a 32 degree Mason, member of the VFW and Cumming Shrine Club.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Diane Cowart Martin of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Dax and Jennifer Martin of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Stephen Robinson of Cumming; grandchildren, Emma, Ava and Gus Martin; brothers, David Martin, W.L. Martin, both of Cumming; sisters, Laura Deen Carnes, Marie Waldroup, both of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. May 2 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gerral Richards, Robert Martin and Pete Martin officiating.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the charity or foundation of your choice in memory of Harry.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
