Harold Lamar Jones

Harold Lamar Jones, 85, of Gainesville, died Feb. 4, 2012.

He owned and operated the Lantern Inn restaurant for 43 years.

Harold was a Shriner for many years and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

His brother, Earl Jones, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Jones of Gainesville; children, Debbie Jones, Linda Jones, Mike Jones and Brooke Dreger, all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Tracy Jones, Stephanie Jones, Michaelyn Jones, Chastity Vinson, Matthew Jones, Misty Miller; great-grandchild, Benjamin Dempsey; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Jones of Gainesville; sister, Betty Jones of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 7 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. Interment followed at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
