Guinnett Chester Holtzclaw, 64, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 14, 2016.

Born April 2, 1952 to the late Arvel "Bit" and Elsie Bearden Chester, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

Guinnett was a 1971 graduate of Dawson County High School and was formerly employed at H.D. Lee in Jasper.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

A granddaughter, Genna Mercedes Holtzclaw; and a brother, Richard Chester, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Ray Holtzclaw of Dawsonville; son, Benji Holtzclaw of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Diana Holtzclaw, Porsha Holtzclaw, Alexis Holtzclaw; great-granddaughters, Genna Holtzclaw, Brianna Holtzclaw; someone very special in her life, Amy Etheridge; sister, Deborah Chester Padgett of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Hermon and Martha Chester of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 20 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Holtzclaw officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
