Greyson Laine McKnight, 87, of Cumming, died Friday, July 3, 2009.

Her husband, William "Mac" Kennon McKnight, Jr., preceded her in death.

Mrs. McKnight was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Ruth and Jack Scherer of Sharpsburg, Millie McKnight of Cumming, Bill and Toni McKnight of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Mary Greyson and Craig Tamburello of Birmingham, Ala., Trey and Natalie Sherman of Gray Court, S.C., Julie Johns of Sharpsburg, Amanda and Randolph Thrower of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Whitney Watson, Jake Tamburello, both of Birmingham, Ala., Ada Thrower of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6 at Cumming United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ron Preuss and John Shinall officiating.

Entombment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming.

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
