Gregory Allen Sills, 66, of Dawsonville, formerly of Montpelier, Ind., died Dec. 8, 2014.

He was born on April 24, 1948 in Hartford City, Ind.

He married Cathy Banter on Oct. 23, 1965 in Blackford County.

Greg was a 1966 graduate of Montpelier High School. He also graduated from National Lewis University and St. Francis College.

Greg was currently the vice president of marketing and sales for Almark Foods of Gainesville. He had previously worked for more than 25 years at ConAgra and Nabisco Foods as a regional sales manager.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Lanier Hills Church in Gainesville.

His father, Paul Ivey Sills; mother, Mable Pauline Fear Sills; and a daughter, Lisa Diane Sills, preceded him in death.

Greg enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and camping, but above all else, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Banter Sills of Dawsonville; son, Cristopher Allen and Trina Sills of Cleveland, Tenn.; daughter, Melissa Ann Monica of Lawrenceville; son, Bryan Gregory Sills of Dahlonega; son-in-law, Alexander Monica of Suwanee; seven grandchildren; brother, Gerald and Linda Sills of Hartford City, Ind.; sister, Teresa and John Henderson of Hartford City, Ind.; sister, Janis and Michael Ramey of Hartford City, Ind.; sister, Carolyn and Jay Jones of Suwanee; various other relatives also survive.

A service to celebrate Greg's life was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at Walker and Glancy Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier, Ind.

Memorials were asked to be sent to Lanier Hills Music Ministry, 3129 Duckett Mill Rd., Gainesville, GA 30506.
