Grace Johnson Gunter died June 27, 2010.

  

She was born March 9, 1928 in Preston, Idaho. Mrs. Gunter was a resident of Cumming and was a lifelong member of the LDS Church.

  

She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her.

  

She was a seamstress and caregiver and employed at Forsyth Industries and served as Nursing Director for Bethelview Church MMO and preschool.

  

Her husband, Jewell Junior Gunter, USN (World War II); daughter, Vivian Jean Gunter; son, James A. Gunter; grandson, James R. Waldrip; parents, George and Bertha Carlson Johnson; brothers, Ray Johnson, Earl Johnson, Don Johnson, George Johnson Jr.; and sisters, Edna J. Mesick and Phyllis J. Winter, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her children, Gloria and David Harris, Dog and Retha Gunter, Phillip and Lisa Gunter, all of Cumming, Joyce and Robert Waldrip of Gainesville, Brenda and Mark Webb of Johns Creek, Bill and JoAnn Gunter of Ball Ground; daughter-in-law, Caroyln S. Gunter; grandchildren, David and Natalie Gunter, Becky and Virgil Manning, Danny and Amy Harris, Bill Waldrip, Cindy and John Pittman, Billy Ray and Shelli Gunter, Eric and Michelle Gunter, Jennifer and Kevin Coppley, Kelly and Edgar Renteria, Brandy Webb, Patric Gunter, Jordan Webb, Kyle Gunter, Morgan Gunter, Dalson Gunter, Shannon Gunter, William Harris, Tony Harris; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beth J. Peterson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Colleen J. Abroms of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Kaye J. Kelly of Seattle, Wash.; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. June 30 at Bethelview United Methodist Church with the Revs. Deborah Griffith, Gerald Blackburn, Scott Sorrells and Alan Boyd officiating. Interment followed in Coal Mountain Cemetery.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
