Grace Fields

Grace Fields, 77, of Dawsonville, died July 31, 2015.

Born Jan. 26, 1983 to the late Hoke and Josie Crowe, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

For 23 years, Grace owned and operated Grace's Dress Shop, after which she worked four years for Jones New York.

She was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church, was an extremely devoted wife, mother, grandmother and was especially dedicated to being a pastor's wife.

Her daughter-in-law, Lisa Fields; brothers, John Crowe, Luke Crowe; and four brothers who passed away in infancy, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, the Rev. Hugh Fields; children, Dennis Fields, Kathy and Mike Arp, Randy Fields and his fiancé, Lois Lynch, all of Dawsonville; sister, Stella Lathem of Canton; grandsons, Ben Fields, Michael Fields, Christoffer Fields, Shannon Arp, Jeremy Fields; great-grandchildren, Kayden Arp, Slade Arp, Erica Fields, Nevaeh Fields, Caylee Fields, Jada Fields; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 3 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Burt and Phillip Thomason officiating. Interment followed in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
