Gordon Clifford Lee, 54, of Rome, died Jan. 13, 2013.

Mr. Lee was born in Baltimore, Md. on Oct. 20, 1958, as the son of Lauralee Sally Vinyard Lee and the late Clifford Lee.

He was a 1976 graduate of Dawson County High School and of Georgia Highlands College in Rome with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He was also a paralegal.

Since 1982, he had owned and operated Legends Comic Book Store on Broad Street, now at Mt. Berry Square Mall in Rome.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Shaffer Lee of Rome; daughter, Starr Lee and her boyfriend, Samuel Smith, of Rome; mother, Lauralee Sally Lee of Dahlonega; son, Brandon Eric Gardner of Rome; brother, Charles Lee and wife, Pam Simerly of Cleveland; a sister, Karina Rodriquez and her partner, Sandra Pruitt of Dahlonega; three grandchildren, Katelynd Tucker, William "Alex" Tucker and Delilah "Lilly" Tucker, all of Rome; niece, Karey Rodriquez; three nephews, Nathan McPherson, Daryyl Lee and Alex Simerly; uncle and aunt, Robert and Shirley Lee of Dawsonville; aunt, Barbara Lawson of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Gordon Clifford Lee Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.

Henderson and Sons Funeral Home of Rome is in charge of the arrangements.
