George Gober Cochran, Jr., 67, of Ball Ground (formerly of Cumming), died Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jimmie Cain Cochran and parents, George Gober, Sr. and Lucile Hardin Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Josh Wallace.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sheri Cochran of Ball Ground; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Dale Cochran of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Greg and Samantha Wallace of Cumming; grandchildren, Shalena Samples of  Cumming, Reginia and Craig Boling of Dahlonega, Melissa Cochran, Colette Cochran and Jesi Wallace, all of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Eli and Emma Boling of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Ronnie Croy of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Diana Cochran of Marietta; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy Ayers of Marietta, Lanny and Janice Castleberry of Kennesaw, Mike and Reva Castleberry of Woodstock, Kathy and Steve Henshaw of Woodstock, Denise and Eddie Ethridge of Dallas, Donna and Larry Sturdevant,  Becky and Chris Sears, Dawn Castleberry of Cumming, Toni Smith of Dawsonville; mothers-in-law, Helen McCullough of Ball Ground, Annette Cain of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were  Monday, July 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Hughlen Cochran, Ruel Martin, Robbie Mathis officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
