Gayle Rowell Beebe, 61, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 31, 2011.

Born March 25, 1950, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

A former cosmetologist and avid singer, she sang professionally for many years.

She possessed a great devotion for her dog Teddy and loved her family, friends and church.

Gayle was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church.

Her sister, Janice Harben; stepmother, Katherine Kent; and stepfather, Johnny Stephens, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Aline Stephens of Dawsonville; father, Buddy Rowell of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie Rowell, Danny Harben, both of Dawsonville, Sherri and Bob Kelly of Dacula, Valerie and Todd Binning of Cumming, Vanessa and Jim Williams of Lebanon, Tenn.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tom Stradley and Chad McPherson officiating. Interment followed in the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Amicalola Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 867 Chumbley Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
