G. Dan Hulsey, 62, of Dumfries, Va., died Jan. 21, 2015.
Born June 5, 1952, Mr. Hulsey had been a resident of Virginia for the past 24 years.
A graduate of West Point Military Academy, he served in the U.S. Air Force, where he retired after 21 years as a Lt. Colonel.
During his time in the Air Force, he spent 10 years overseas in Okinawa and the Philippines, where he piloted F-15s and F-5 Aggressors.
His father, William Dean Hulsey, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Judy Hulsey of Dumfries, Va.; daughter, Sarah Hulsey of Dumfries, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Flavia Hulsey of Olympia, Wash.; mother, Mary Hulsey of Dawsonville; grandson, Drake Hulsey; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Slaton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/donate.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
