French Mitchell Hatfield, 49, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 18, 2014.

He was a 1982 graduate of Iaeger High School.

He was a loyal and dedicated employee of American Boa for the past 24 years.

His hobbies and talents included football, riding four wheelers, playing with his grandchildren, playing guitar and spending time at the farm.

He loved his pets, Spunky and Smokey.

His mother, Barbara Hatfield; and his brothers, Teddy and Michael Hatfield, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Hatfield of Dawsonville; father, French Hatfield of Bluefield, W. Va.; sons, Ryan Hatfield and Ashley Frazier of Clarksburg, W. Va., Scott Brown of Midway; daughter, Sarah and Dean Martin of Meldrim; brother, Timothy and Mona Hatfield of Gary, W. Va.; grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Ayden, Raylan, Crystal, Heather, Madison, Arien and Mason; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Jan. 24 in the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 23 at the funeral home.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
