Frederick G. “Fred” Blair, 54, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 10, 2018.

Born April 20, 1964 in Radford, Va., he had lived in Dawson County since 1989.

Fred worked as a residential carpenter and built his family’s home in Dawson County.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed woodworking.  Mr. Blair was a devoted husband, father and son and loved his dog, Baylee. 

His father, Frederick G. Blair, Sr., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Michelle Blair of Dawsonville; daughters, Kayla Blair, Courtney Blair; mother, Betty Blair of Dublin, Va.; brother, Mickey Blair of Concord, N.C.; various other relatives also survive.

The family is planning a private memorial.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
