Fred North Poole, 93, of Cumming, died March 30, 2015.
Born in Savannah, he was the son of the late Fred and Minnie Poole.
His son, Fredrick Poole and son-in-law, Grady Lewis, preceded him in death.
Fred served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Haverty's Furniture Company.
He was an active member of Cumming Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Poole of Cumming; sons, Robert and Kathy Poole, John and Nancy Poole of Loganville, Bill and Marcia Poole of Port Orange, Fla.; daughters, Barbara and Shelton Hill of Peachtree City, Joy Lewis of Vidalia; grandchildren, Michael Poole, Spencer Poole, Stephanie Poole, Shanon Poole, Pamela Fountain, Shayna Abbas, Meagan Hill, Mandy Smith, Bray Hill; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. April 2 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Barry Crocker officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
