Franklin Barnell Beck

Franklin Barnell Beck, 70, of Dahlonega, died March 21, 2011.

 

Born May 30, 1940 in Hall County, he lived most of his life in Dawson and Lumpkin counties.

 

Mr. Beck was a retired poultry farmer and was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

 

His father, George Frank Beck, preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Annabell Beck of Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Minnie Beck of Dawsonville; mother, Dorothy Beck of Dahlonega; grandson, Benjamin Beck of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Norwood of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Mary and Bob Davis, Joyce Ann and James Lynn, all of Chatsworth, Bonnie May and Ronald Hughes of Ellijay; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlton and Diane Beck, Daniel and Bobbie Beck, all of Gainesville, George Beck of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 25 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Revs. Scott Day and Gary Keown officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

 

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
