Frank T. Ray Jr., 90, of Cumming, died Dec. 26, 2013.

Frank was born in Tampa, Fla. and he had lived many years in Atlanta before moving to Cumming in 1976.

His wife of 58 years, Margie, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Manny Baeza, of Cumming; granddaughter, April Holly and her husband, Gregory Pitts of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Melody Ray Baeza of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; great-grandson, Henry Mason Pitts; brother, Leon G. Ray of Stephens City, Va.; various other relatives also survive.

Frank was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations in which he was awarded five battle stars and a certificate of recognition from the vice consul of France for his service in France.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 28 with full military honors at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society in the name of Margie A. Ray.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
