Frank Abercrombie, 85, of Dawsonville passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020.

Born March 14, 1935, in Atlanta to the late Herbert and Jimmie Abercrombie, he lived in Dawson County since 1985 after moving from Lilburn. Frank retired from General Motors Lakewood following 30 years of service. Following his retirement, he served on the Dawson County Board of Equalization and was a former Court Bailiff. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Etowah Lodge No.222 F&AM, served for several years as a volunteer for the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Boling; and a brother, James Abercrombie.  

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Faye Abercrombie, Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Tony Nunnelley, Dawsonville, Karen Boling, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Joseph Youngblood, Justin Youngblood, Jennifer Patterson, Jesse Youngblood, Amy Darling, Ali Robinson; 11 great-grandchildren; niece, Tammy Golnek, Lilburn; and nephew, Jose Pineda, Acworth.

Due to the current social environment, the family will be holding a private service. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, care of Kenneth Mulkey, 1853 Cowart Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
