Frances Shelton

Frances Shelton, 86, of Dawsonville, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Jackson County, Mrs. Shelton grew up in Gainesville and moved to Dawson County 55 years ago.
A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at the Kangaroo in Dawsonville.
She was a founding member of Christ Fellowship Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" Shelton; parents, Eben and Mauline Caston; brothers, Laney Caston and Don Caston.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Edna and James Reeves, Faye Cleveland, all of Dawsonville; brother and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Barbara Caston of Gainesville, Lula Caston of Richmond, Va., Ruth Caston of Gainesville; grandchildren, Carol Reeves Borton, Mike Reeves, Kelly Cleveland, Kris McNeal; four great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 29 at 1 p.m. at Christ Fellowship Church with the remains placed in state at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Ricky Stepp officiated. Interment followed in Alta Vista Cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
