Floyd L. McIntyre, 88, of Cumming, died Feb. 18, 2014.

He was born and grew up in Toccoa.

He was a retired staff sergeant with the United States Army after 21 years of dedicated service. In addition, he retired from AT&T after a 20 year career.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Hendrix McIntyre of Cumming; six daughters, Carolyn and Talmadge Pace, Joyce Finley, all of Toccoa, Vivian and Charles Jones of Dawsonville, Delores and Ben Davis of Danridge, Tenn., Nellie Sue Sheets, Mary Jo and Mike Derden, all of Cumming; sister, Patricia Farmer of Toccoa; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. His final resting place will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
