Fenes Mae Thomas

Fenes Mae Thomas, 82 of Dawsonville, died March 19, 2018.

She was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Otto, N.C., and had lived in Cumming and Marietta. Fenes loved to bake and cook and she loved Jesus and her family. She was an active member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Dawsonville where she made wonderful biscuits for Sunday School.

Her servant attitude will be missed, but she is now in her forever home. She lived by the truth of Jesus as instructed by her favorite scripture, Mark 12: 29-31 “And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.”

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Rogers and Ellis Haggard, Karen and Gary Wilson, Lisa and Keith Glover; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

A Celebration of Life service was held at 2 p.m. March 21 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Gaines and Rev. Mike Frazier officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. March 20 and from 1 p.m. to the hour of service March 21 at Ingram Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
