Faye L. Christopher, 67, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 4, 2013.

Born in Pisgah, Ala. she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ellen Lambert.

Faye retired from Georgia Cares. She was an avid gardener and loved to go to faraway places. She was a member of War Hill Christian Fellowship Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Christopher of Dawsonville; son, William Smith of Montgomery, Ala.; daughter, Joy Welter of Dahlonega; stepson, Jason Christopher of Oxford; much-loved granddaughter, Sophia Welter; various other relatives also survive.

In Georgia, a memorial services was held at 1 p.m. Nov. 9 at War Hill Christian Fellowship in Dawsonville.

In Alabama, a graveside services was held at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Pisgah, Ala.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
