Faye Cooke Wiltfang

Faye Cooke Wiltfang, 71, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 12, 2016.

Born April 14, 1945 in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. to the late Howard and Lillian Cooke, she had lived in Dawson County for the past several years.

Mrs. Wiltfang retired as a mortgage loan officer for Bank of America after 27 years of service.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville, where she sang in the choir.

Survivors include her husband, Burton Wiltfang of Dawsonville; sons, Gregory Sorrell of Sanford, Fla., Matthew Sorrell of Ball Ground; sisters, Elaine Wilder, Jackie Brooks, both of North Carolina; four grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 at the First Baptist Church of Dawsonville. Dr. Jim Gaines will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the church, beginning at 2 p.m.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
