Fannie Lou Anderson, 89, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 24, 2012.

Born Dec. 13, 1922, in Lumpkin County to the late Homer and Mary Allison, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. Mrs. Anderson was employed at Sweet Orr until the plant closed, after which she was employed by Dairy Queen until her retirement.

She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and attended Harvest Baptist Church.

Her husband, Gordon Anderson; sisters, Grace Cantrell, Ollie Mary Cantrell; and brothers, Eugene Allison and James Allison, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bessie and Jimmy Harben of Dawsonville; son, Alton Anderson of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Virginia Allison of Greenville, S.C.; sister-in-law, Vernice Allison of Greenville; brother-in-law, Robert Lee Cantrell of Greenville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Scarlett and Jeff Boyle of Carrollton; great-grandchildren, Tyler Boyle, Carter Boyle and Adrian Boyle; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 27 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mark Biddy and Leonard W. Ridings officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
