Evelyn Zonie Stewart Green, 87, of Cumming, died June 11, 2013.

Evelyn was saved and baptized at Beaver Ruin Baptist Church.

She was then a member of Friendship Baptist Church for 60 years.

She was an active member and leader of the WMU.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, nana, great-nana, sister and friend.

Her mother, Zonie Samples Stewart; father, Ancil Neal Stewart; stepmother, Ruby Samples Stewart; and brother, Ancil N. Stewart Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, J. Garston Green; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Wayne Bennett of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Julie Nicole Watson, Kathryn Lois Bennett, Byran Todd and Whitney Bennett, all of Dawsonville, Jason Robert and Sandra Bennett of Cumming; great-grandsons, Brock Robert Bennett and Bryce Gregory Bennett; sister, Lillian Mullinax of McDonough, Louise and Roger Smith, Margie Hitt, all of Buford, Mary Martin of Cumming, Brenda and Tommy Estes of Ball Ground; brothers, Jerry and Geraldine Stewart of Ranger, Jackie and Arlene Stewart of Canton; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 14 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ricky Byrd, Bud Sutton and Lee Gaddis officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
