Estie J. Holliday, 94, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 2, 2014.

Born Jan. 7, 1919 in Gilmer County to the late Ed and Hattie Wilson, Mrs. Holliday also lived a number of years in Dalton and Ellijay.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Dawsonville Church of God of Prophecy.

Her husbands, Winston Sosebee, Floyd "Sarge" Holliday; daughters, Nancy Sosebee, Norma McKinnon; and sons, Edward Sosebee and Kenneth Sosebee, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Helen Cowart of Dawsonville; daughter-in-law, Judy Sosebee of Dalton; son-in-law, Harry McKinnon of Tunica, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 5 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Bennett officiating. Interment followed at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
