Estelle Reece, 72, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 11. 2011.

Born March 5, 1939, in Gilmer County to the late Mantley and Velma McClure, she lived in Dawson County most of her life.

Mrs. Reece was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Reece; sons, Ronnie Jennings, Doug Reece; grandson, Clay Reece; sister, Vera Hunt; and brothers, Frank McClure, C.A. McClure and M.A. McClure.

Survivors include her children, Ricky and Gail Jennings, Tina Goldsmith, Joe C. Reece, all of Dawsonville; sisters, Gladys Gibson, Bennie Tanner, Helen Reece, all of Dahlonega, Carolyn Parker of Cedartown, Joyce Morgan of Calhoun, Brenda Jean Pittman of Ellijay; brother, Donald McClure of Homer; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Cochran officiating.

The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday.
