Elizabeth Juanita Sumner, 73, of Ellijay, died Dec. 17, 2014.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was born Aug. 8, 1941 in Dawsonville.

Mrs. Sumner was employed as a teller at the Bank of Ellijay.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James "Jim" F. Sumner of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Todd Coleman of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Krysta Sumner of Ellijay; grandchildren, Lauren Davis, Ansley Sumner; sisters. Oleeta B. Disharoon, Thelma B. Chester, both of Dawsonville, Betty B. Anderson of Andalusia, Ala., Dorothy B. Southern of Ellijay; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 21 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Edmund Miller, Randy Hamrick and Jerry Stover officiating. Graveside services and interment followed at Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were: Lance Disharoon, Mike Sumner, John Sumner, Shawn Kilgore, Scott Sales, Mathew Newton, Reggie Southern, Brian Southern, Mathew Wilson, Michael Wilson, Clay Disharoon, Jason Disharoon, Steven Disharoon, Rhett Harrelson and Russell Harrelson. Pallbearers were: David Disharoon, Danny Disharoon, Gary Disharoon, John Hall, Chris Disharoon, Ryan Disharoon, Michael Webb, Matthew Webb, Josh Chester and Lee Braswell.

Logan Funeral Home of Ellijay was in charge of the arrangements.
