Eleanor Wallace Swafford, 60, of Marble Hill, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009.

  

Born Feb. 11, 1949, Mrs. Swafford was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

  

She was employed as a bookkeeper with Sweet-Orr for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith.

  

Her mother-in-law, Irma Swafford, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Gerald "Bug" Swafford of Marble Hill; daughter, Beth Swafford of Marble Hill; parents, Clayton and Hazel Wallace of Dawsonville; uncle and aunts, Clyde and Barbara Wallace, Grace Pirkle, all of Dawsonville; father and mother-in-law, Glenson and Arlene Swafford of Marble Hill; special friends, Brent Covington, Gary and Regina Evans, Charlie, Beth and Zoe Hill, Ricky, Tabatha and Morgan Chastain; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Hugh Fields, Phillip Burt and Steve Warren officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
