Eileen Agnes Heinold Eurek, 80, a former resident of Big Canoe, died June 23, 2015.

Eileen was born in East Keansburg, N.J. on March 15, 1935.

She was married for 59 years to Edward John Eurek of Loup City, Neb.

Eileen and Ed raised their five children in Omaha, Boston, Washington D.C. and Atlanta.

Eileen designed their home they built in Big Canoe to enjoy during their retirement years.

Eileen loved the beach, cruises, sewing and crafts, table top games and spending time with family and friends.

Her husband, Ed, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce an Doug Chapman of Dahlonega, Debbie and Charles Kinney of Norcross; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Phyllis Eurek of Johns Creek, Duane and Terri Eurek of Savannah, Bruce and Renya Eurek of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Brandon, Tara and Lance, Scott and Stacy, Ryan, Christina and Andrew, Steven and Gabby, Allyson and Sam, Morgan, Kevin and Cassie, Olivia, Landon; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Jillian, Jett and Jaclynn; brother, Charles and Consuelo Heinold of Florida; niece, Mary and Ed of Cleveland; nephew, Chuck and Lisa of Florida; brothers-in-law, Ernie and Lorraine of Texas, David and Janet, Frank and Maryann, all of Nebraska, Ken and Diane of Colorado; three nieces and seven nephews; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at noon, June 29 at The Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd, 3740 Holtzclaw Rd., Cumming. Burial followed at 2:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
