Edwin Waters, 57, of Dawsonville, died July 7, 2018.

Edwin was born April 15, 1961 to the late Elmer and Ann Waters.  He was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. 

A simple man, he was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed his grandchildren most of all. 

He is also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Waters.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Megan Waters, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Kyleigh, Harley and Hudson; sisters, Virginia Orr, Florida, Barbara Waters, Dawsonville; former wife, Darlene Waters, Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. July 11 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brody Hughes officiating.  Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from noon until the hour of service.
