Edith Ann Brown, 61, of Dahlonega, died Dec. 25, 2013.

Born Dec. 22, 1952, to the late Robert and Leila Brown, she lived most of her life in Lumpkin County. Edith worked providing in home healthcare.

Her daughter, Satcie Geier; sisters, Robbie Jean Brown, Joyce Arnold; and brothers, Hoyt Brown and Cecil Brown, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Dixon of Dahlonega; son, Joey Geier of Dahlonega; sisters and brother-in-law, Bessie Stancil of Dahlonega, Donna and Larry Reed of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny Brown, Richard and Joyce Brown, George and Tammie Brown, all of Dahlonega; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
