Edith Angela Ashe Pirkle, 90, of Cumming, died April 9, 2014.

Born in Hayesville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Manaughta Ashe.

Angela's thoughtfulness, warm smile, twinkling eyes and spicy sense of humor will be missed by all.

Survivors include her children, David W. and Joyce Pirkle Jr. of Roswell, Nancy and Charles Little and Patricia Pirkle Coury, all of Cumming; grandchildren, David and Shannon Simpson, Alisha and Daniel Goldsworthy, David Pirkle III and Elizabeth and Peter Cook; great-grandchildren, James, Julia, Tyler and Ella; niece, Trudy Burns; sister-in-law, Janet Ashe; nephew, Allen Ashe; great-nephew, Samuel; various other relatives also survive.

A celebration of life was held at 1 p.m. April 12 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
