Earmon Eugene Kent, 87, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at Northside Hospital Forsyth.
He was born October 11, 1932 to Jim and Nancy Kent in Pickens County. He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and Redwine Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Kent is survived by his wife, Mary Christine Kent of Dawsonville; son, Tony Kent of Dawsonville; daughters, Gaye Cantrell of Cumming, Jane Jones of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Justin and Wendy Jones, great grand-children, Rylea, Abigail, Heather, and Paige; step-children, Deborah West and Billy Crumbley, Tina and Greg Sparkman, James Claussen; step-grandchildren, Nathan Branham, Emily Branham, Joshua West; and step-great-grandchildren, Alex, Paul, Carson, Jade, Leo, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris T. Kent; son, John Eugene Kent; and grandchild, Jennifer West.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 16 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Reverend Rodney Pilcher and Reverend Gary Keown officiating and Eddie Guy speaking. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
The family received friends at Roper Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 15 and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Nov. 16.
