Dwayne Rider, 39, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 19, 2017.
Born April 25, 1978, Mr. Rider was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.
Dwayne was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was an extremely devoted father and husband whose life revolved around his children. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and attended New Life Church of God. Dwayne enjoyed photography, target shooting and airplanes.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Rider of Dawsonville; children, Lauren Rider, Gracie Rider, Garrett Rider, Delaney Rider, all of Dawsonville; mother, Shirley Norrell of Dawsonville; father and stepmother, Clark and Lisa Rider of Dawsonville; grandparents, Herman and Era Rider of Dawsonville, Jean Sims of Cleveland; sisters, Sandra Longino of Dahlonega, Jeana Rider of Dawsonville, Chelseay Frith of Douglasville; special nieces, Allie Loggins, Rileigh Loggins; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Owens, Rev. Eric Watson and Rev. Nick Rice officiating.
Interment followed in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
