Dr. Sam Ernest Adams, 55, of Cumming, died, July 30, 2015.

He was a 1999 graduate of the Mississippi State School of Veterinary Medicine.

He stood steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ and lived his life as a godly man.

Dr. Adams was a devoted family man and adored his four grandchildren.

During his life, Dr. Adams served his community in many ways. He served as an active member and deacon at Mountain View Church of Christ. His love for singing and spreading the gospel through song was dear to his heart.

He enjoyed traveling, especially to sing with fellow Christians in different locations around the country.

He was one of the founders of Mountain Voices, an annual singing event held in North Georgia.

Dr. Adams, a veterinarian, owned Creekside Animal Hospital in Cumming and was held dear by his clients and their pets.

Dr. Adams left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with.

He was a faithful steward to clients, animals and most importantly, to those whom he loved.

Prior to opening Creekside Animal Hospital, Dr. Adams worked at Orr Animal Hospital.

Dr. Adams was a loyal Mississippi State fan who always supported the Bulldogs.

Survivors include his parents, James and Irene Adams; his loving wife of 35 years, Debbie; his sons, Sam Jr. and Jenna, Chantz and Stephanie, Zach and Morgan; grandchildren, Chantz JR., Lane, Kinsey Grace and Dusty; his brothers, Randy and Margo, Steve and Jody and Bud and Annette; various other relatives also survive.

Family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 1, followed by a memorial service at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
