Doug Hill, 70, of Dawsonville, died March 25, 2017.

Mr. Hill served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran.

He was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed riding his Harley.

Doug was a "one of a kind" and never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Hill; daughters, Sarah and Chris Cheshire, Amanda and Scott Mull; siblings, David Hill, Phyllis Nina Hill; grandchildren, Alex Welch, Raven Welch, Anthony Hill, Nick Mull, Jesse Cheshire, Sierra Mull; great-grandchildren, Braydon Caldwell, Khallon Caldwell, Cole Cooper, Jordan Cooper, Kolton Ashworth, Lillie Harvey; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. March 29 at Yellow Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Mike Byess, Billy Roper and Gene Hyde officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Sosebee Funeral Home of Canton was in charge of the arrangements.
