Dorothy Louise Evers Maze, 86, of Brookville, Ohio, died Jan. 12, 2013.

She was born Feb. 20, 1926, in Providence, R.I., she also lived a number of years in Dawson County.

Before her marriage, Dorothy worked at the Quonset Point Naval Base in the defense industry during World War II.

She moved to Ohio and lived there as a devoted mother and wife, working many years with her husband, Melvin, in his Nationwide Insurance Agency in Englewood, Ohio.

She was also a member of Eastern Star and of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Englewood American Legion, where Melvin was a former Post Commander.

Her parents, Herbert and India (Thompson) Evers; sister, Virginia Evers Martinese; and her beloved husband, Melvin Dean Maze, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Paula and Mike Nason of Cumming, Gail and Kurt Young o West Milton, Ohio; sons, Bruce and Jesicca Maze of St. Ignace, Mich., Brent Maze of Vandalia, Ohio; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held Jan. 16 at the Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St., West Milton, Ohio. Burial was held at the Polk Grove Cemetery.

Donations were requested made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.

Hale-Sarver Funeral Home of West Milton, Ohio, was in charge of the arrangements.
