Dorothy Elletson, 67, of Cumming, died May 2, 2017.

Survivors include her husband, Broadus Elletson, of Cumming; children, Chandy and Paul Root of Dawsonville, Kristen Elletson of Cumming; brothers, Jim and Dean Mahaffey; sister, Susan Renfrow; two grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. May 13 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. May 13 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to either the Lupus Foundation of America or the Forsyth County Humane Society in Dorothy's name.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
