Doris Mae Adams McLaughlin, 84, died May 31, 2010. She was born July 21, 1925 in Cottageville, S.C. Her son, Lawrence "Larry" McLaughlin, preceded her in death. She moved from Cumming from East Point and was retired from the State of Georgia Department of Revenue.

  

Survivors include her son, Charles Michael McLaughlin of Cumming; daughter, Cheryl McLaughlin-Irvin of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Trey and wife Shannon Houston of Senoia, Toby and wife Dawn Houston of Fayetteville, Sarah Houston-Lay of Hampton, Henry Irvin of Gainesville; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Marie Houston and Kenzie Nichole Houston, both of Fayetteville; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held June 3 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens.

  

Byars Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
