Donald W. "Don" Evans, 78, died May 9, 2017.

His wife, Veneita Evans, 79, died May 8, 2017.

Don was born June 22, 1938 in Owensboro, Ky., to the late Wilson and Eula Evans.

Veneita was born Nov. 22, 1937 in Malone, N.Y., to the late Herman and Bertha Revette.

They had currently been living in Dawsonville, but had moved from Calhoun.

Survivors include their children, Andrea and Dale Rockhill of Dawsonville, David Evans of Marietta; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; Don's sister, Rebecca Snyder of Owensboro, Ky.; brothers, Michael Evans, Steven Evans and John Evans, all of Owensboro; Veneita's sisters, Diane Roberts of Malone, N.Y., Yvonne Monette of Calhoun; brother, Carlton Revette of Calhoun; various other relatives also survive.

At their request, Mr. and Mrs. Evans were cremated and the family is planning a private memorial.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
