Donald Kenimer, 76, of Dawsonville, died July 6, 2012.

Born Nov. 21, 1935 in Gainesville to the late William and Maxine Kenimer, he had lived in Dawson County for 33 years.

Mr. Kenimer was a retired welder.

After moving to Dawson County he was employed by the road department.

Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was of the Pentecostal faith.

His wife, Barbara A. Kenimer; and sons, Bobby Kenimer and Gary Kenimer, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Dennis Daniels of Dawsonville; son and daughter-in-law, William Kenimer and Sally Pacheco of Dawsonville; sister, Hilda Batchelor of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Becky Voyles of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Travis Daniels, Nicole Daniels, Ashley Botelho, Jonathan Pacheco, Ryan Pacheco; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. July 9 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Daniels and Ronald Barrett officiating. Interment followed in the Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
