Donald Gene McClure Jr., 50, of Big Canoe, died Dec. 12, 2010.

Born March 17, 1960 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Donald Gene McClure Sr. and Lee Williams McClure.

Mr. McClure had worked most of his life in construction and was a member of the Foothills Community Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa McClure of Big Canoe; four sons, Brian McClure, Donald McClure, both of Dawsonville, Michael McClure, Chris McClure, both of Alpharetta; stepdaughters, Christina Horton and Janet McClure, both of Dawsonville; sister, Tracy Kinston of Dawsonville; brother, Doug McClure of Marble Hill; six grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

At his request, Mr. McClure was cremated and a memorial services was held at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at the Foothills Community Church with the Pastor John Reale officiating.

Roper Funeral Home of Jasper was in charge of the arrangements.
