Dolores C. “Dee” Murphy, 87, of Dacula, formerly of Dawsonville, died Aug. 23, 2018.
Born Oct. 19, 1930 in Hubbard, Ohio to the late Domenick and Rose Patrizi, she lived in Dawson County for 13 years having moved from Holly, Mich. Dee was very devoted to her family and church. She was always there to lend a helping hand and possessed a great love for animals. She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.
Her husband of 54 years, Joseph A. “Joe” Murphy, and a brother, James Patrizi, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Catherine and Dennis Walker of Dacula, Janice and Bill Roman of Forest Lake, Minn., Pamela and Michael Martello of San Clemente, Calif., Jerry and Lisa Murphy of West Chester, Pa., Mark Murphy of Oxford, Mich., Ann and Jim LaBarge of Inverness, Ill.; sister, Louise Spera of Wilmington, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; various other relatives also surive.
A memorial mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 27 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Higgins officicated.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
