Dolores Bearden

Dolores Bearden, 59, of Dahlonega, died Feb. 15, 2016.

Born Nov. 26, 1956, to the late Vernon "Bug" and Elga Mincey, she was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

Mrs. Bearden was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, and a graduate of both Lumpkin County High School and North Georgia College.

She worked many years as a realtor for Nell Moore Realty and others.

Most recently she worked at the front desk at Dawsonville Gun and Pawn.

A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved to travel and go on cruises.

Her sister, Dora Mincey, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Ronald Bearden of Dahlonega; sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jessica Bearden of Dahlonega, Christopher Bearden of Gainesville; grandchildren, Emma and Maggie Bearden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Elizabeth Mincey, Jerry and Marie Mincey, all of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Feb. 19 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Calvin Ward and Phil DeMore officiating. Interment followed in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 1751 Wesley Chapel Rd., Dahlonega, GA 30533.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
