Dianne Tinsley Bowers, 59, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 7, 2012.

Born Dec. 20, 1952, to the late Dean and Louise Tinsley, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

Dianne was a graduate of Dawson County High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University and a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia.

Mrs. Bowers was an electronics instructor for more than 20 years and currently served as dean of academic affairs at Lanier Technical College, Oakwood Campus.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 31 years and currently attended the Dahlonega Ward.

She possessed a deep love and devotion for her family, her church, travel and art.

Her sister, Tilda Tinsley Tilton; and a brother, Joseph B. Tinsley, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Roy A. Bowers of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, K. Cynthia Cox of Dawsonville, Angelia McQuade and Adam Medlin of Cumming; stepsons, Chris Bowers of Jackson, Miss., Scottie Bowers of Canton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Tinsley and Dennis Molnar of Navarre, Fla., Gloria and Larry Wright, Deanna Perry, all of Dawsonville, Deborah and Byron Lewis of Snowflake, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Hubert D. Jr. and Jannie Tinsley of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Kassidy Dianne Olson, Brittney Nicole Brown, Courtnie Marie Brown, McKylie RyAnne Olson, Tristan Cordon Olson, Jackson Dean Olson; special nephews, Derrick and Blake Bennett; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dahlonega Ward with the Bishop Robert Weischedel officiating. Interment followed in the Tinsley Chapel Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
