Dewey Ralph Smith

Dewey Ralph Smith, 64, of Blountstown, Fla., died Dec. 1, 2013.

He was born in Montgomery, Ala., on Nov. 1, 1949, to the late George Dewey and Hazel (Melvin) Smith.

Ralph was a vocational instructor for the Florida Department of Corrections. He was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville, Fla.

Survivors include his son, Ralph Smith Jr. of Blountstown; daughter, Tina and husband Will Faust of Dawson; three grandchildren, Ashley Maddison Faust, William Tyler Faust and Jordan Tate Faust; brothers, Tim Smith and wife Becky of Clarksville, Sammy Smith and wife Tanya of Blountstown, John Smith and wife Jennifer of Clarkesville; sisters, Brenda Williams and her husband, Johnny, of Tallahassee, Frances Smith of Clarkesville, Hilda Willis of Blountstown; various other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Dec. 4 at Adams Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church with the Dr. Shawn Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery.
